Her heart seemed burst, and her head drooped. Why...? Why...? Why?! WHY?! How could the Capitol be so cruel!?
She had no energy, no spirit to respond.

Her hands slide down her face, until they reach the ground. The dust makes them black, but she can't help herself. She sobs silently, the tears dripping down her face without a sound.

The tears start to come faster as I see my faithful old broher running down to me with a towel. "Jordan!" I yell out between sobs.

At the sight of the older brother trailing faithfully to Clove's side, Robin dissepeared into the shadows. And did the one thing she really prided herself in.
Run.
What a glorious feeling it is to have the wind through your hair... your feet clapping in rythem on the grass... the raw feeling of power.

Jordan stops by my side and takes me into one of his bear hugs. "Robin?" I call out after I saw a glimpse of her running away.

But by the time Clove's comment would have reached her ears-- she is long gone. She headed for the electric fence, her breath going up in jagged gasps and her leg making her muscles roll uneavenly beneath her giving her a wretching spasm of pain every step she took. The run was unlike anything she had ever done. it was going against every instinct inside of her. Emotional attachment to her new friends, and the physical strain.
But they would be okay without her.
...
Wouldn't they?

Jordan wipes my eyes with the small towel. "what are you doing here?" he asks me. "you could've been killed!" I sniff. "yes Jordan i know is but I met some people and.. Well they needed me, as I need them."

Robin slides to a halt at the electric fence. She stared at it, wanting to collapse. She felt her heart start pumping a mile a minute as she hears the electric fence buzz.
What did she have to go back to, anyway?
And all the while, the buzzing of the fence gets louder in her mind.
Do it... A voice whispers in her ear. Be safe from the games forever more. No hunger. No pain. What do you have to live for?
I-I... She thought in a whirl.
Your best-friend betrayed you. Your family is dead, all because of him. An Image of Katniss and Clove appears in her mind. They'll betray you too... And then you'll have nothing. No feet to run. No will to live.
And deep down, she realized with a horror that she was starting to agree. What did she have to go back to?
Just reach out... and touch the fence... The voice coaxed. It's so simple...
Robin felt herself shut down, her hand reached out and began to slowly reach.
That's right... they don't need you anyway. They'll just hurt you... The voice soothed.
Millimeters away from the fence. Robin froze.
Come on... The voice sounded slightly worried. They'll just betray you, like Trent...
Betray me? She thought bemused.
Betray you... The voice confirmed.
Robin continued to stand stock frozen. Betray her... Katniss and Clove? Betray her... no.
No. She thought weakly.
No.
No. No. No! NO! she screamed within herself.
In a flash. The voice was gone.
Robin jerked herself away from the fence and sat heavily down-- gasping for air. She clutched her knees and cradled her head in them.
How close was I? She thought sluggishly. How close was I to... to maybe throwing away the life... of maybe a still living baby sister? How slow had I been to throwing away my friendship with Clove? How close was I to throwing away my sis--
Robin cut herself off before hesitating finishing her sentence. Sister... The thought made her heart flutter before flowing with joy. Katniss was like an older sister to her. How could she have almost thrown away her friend? The chance of a baby sister? Her older sister?
Robin leaped awkwardly to her feet. She groaned in pain but limped one baby-step forward. Then another.
Slowly, she made progress. She head slowly but surely in a line toward the coal-mines. The place where she knew Katniss would be.

(That was really good.)
She heard footsteps-- she is too far gone to move. She sits curled in the dust, tears streaming down her face. "Why…" she murmurs. "Why did you have to go?" But they can not hear her. Her father is dead, buried under a hundred tons on coal. Her sister is gone, exploded by a Capitol gift, meant for a traitor. Her mother, though still here in body, has disappeared from this world. The only thing left is Katniss, and her will to survive.

She haulted at the begining of a coalmine cave. She hesitated, like she had at all the caves she had seen so far, before whispering out a call. "Katniss?"

I stand up with Jordans help. "I'm sorry, I have to go." I take my flats off and run as fast as I can towards the fence.

"Katniss...?" She called softly again. But she instantly realized that Katniss wasn't here. Or she would've replied. Wouldn't she? Robin turned around and headed back towards the woods. That was the other place she would look before that horrible looking storm broke.
She felt a chill as she looked up at the sky-- it was an errie gray. She walked along side the fence, calling out Katniss's name quietly as she looked, squinting, in the shady woods.
It was useless! She'd have to find a hole and squeeze through it. It sounded like the fence was off...

"Robin?" came the faint reply. She hurries to wipe the tears off her cheeks.
